 Omnibus Brotherhood-Iloilo at Mambukal Resort

Mambukal Mountain Resort is the premier resort and tourist destination in Negros Occidental..The Resort lies 1,200 feet above sea level and serves as a gateway to the Mt. Kanlaon Volcano.

Originally developed by a Japanese architect named Ishiwata in 1927, the resort started as a bath house and picnic garden and has provided cool haven for Negrenses and their guests.

Spread over 23.6 hectares, Mambukal is blessed with exceptionally beautiful natural resources.A big mountain stream, fed by several tributaries, descends in a series of seven falls and cuts through the center of the resort, feeding the swimming pools and boating lagoon.

Mambukal also boasts a number of hot sulfur springs whose medicinal waters are a balm for the weary flesh and continually feeds the warm dipping pool.

Mo2 Ice Bar is one of the  new and hottest night life destination at Bacolod. The entrance fee is about 100 pesos and it’s consumable. Me and my Omnibus bros arrived there at around past 1am and the place was fully packed. Looks like everyone was having a good time. Despite of  the place is a bit humid. I guess it must be from the body heat generated by the crowd. Nonetheless, why care about the downside when you’re having fun right?

 We appreciate the Bila sang Negros Association for recognizing  us at the 2nd Bila sang Negros held at the Metrodome,Bacolod last August 10, 2011.

Twelve gorgeous candidates from the different cities all over Negros Occidental compete for the title. Mr Ian Lacusan of  Silay City standout and judged as Bila sang Negros 2011.

Games are a fun way to pass time. They are also a great means to break the ice amongst a group of people who do not know each other that well.Everyone likes to participate in games and activities, provided they are interesting and fun.It develops leadership qualities and fosters a team spirit in them. Sports involve competition; they involve winning and losing. This exposes the players to both the aspects of life, successes and failures. Sports build a competitive spirit and teach us to be participative irrespective of whether the participation concludes in a victory or a defeat. Playing sports teaches a person to accept both successes and failures in a positive spirit. The most important benefit of playing sports is the sportsman spirit. Playing sports results in the development of a sportive nature, which is helpful throughout one’s life.

There are so many who work on themselves for years to win it. A beauty pageant is not just a competition of determining the most beautiful physical attributes who compete in them, they also look for personal qualities such as empathy, compassion, emotional and intelligence quotient in the participants. It is a program that gives recognition to the physical and soulful beauty of people who deserve to be applauded. Winning a beauty pageant is synonymous to becoming a role model.

Sports serve as an excellent physical exercise. Those who play sports have a more positive body image than those who do not. Playing sports often involves physical activities like running, jumping and stretching and moreover a constructive expenditure of energy. Playing sports since an early age strengthens the bones and muscles and tones one’s body. Thus sports provide the body with a complete exercise.

“We jail people for killing one or two persons. How about institutions or people that ravage the environment and cause the death of hundreds or thousands? The floods of Palawan are absolutely due to mining – due to the denudation of forests.”

These were the words of Gerry Ortega, radio broadcaster and environmentalist. He was shot in cold blood on January 24, 2011

Its very amazing & heartwarming to imagine the fact that there is still a good man like Doc Gerry whom his life dedicated to all mankind.With this inspiration, The Omnibus Brotherhood support the cause by sending accomplished form as part of our advocacy last May 2011.We do our share, its time to show to the world, how concerned we are to to the effect of this mining to the society & specially to the environment as a whole… Let’s face it, we need that resources, but the fact that we also know that those satisfaction of our desire will lead us to a sorrowful future, let us stop dreaming, let us be awakened of what is happening now in the world. It is an independent and autonomous Society comprised of free-minded individuals committed to the formation of Brotherhood, through which they could nurture themselves and their Brethren for the attainment of personal and Fraternal Success by embodying the virtues of Fraternity, Fidelity, and Faith. 

The Ideals and Principles of the Brotherhood

            The Omnibus Brotherhood is a Community, a Society, and a Commitment.

As a Community, the Brotherhood gives opportunity to the Fraters to commune in Fraternity with like-minded individuals so as not to tarry in loneliness while providing the avenue to express one’s self freely, in the absence of judgment and derogatory criticism which may inflict the being.

As a Society, the Brotherhood teaches the Fraters to interact in Fidelity for the well-being of their fellowmen in the Brotherhood, so as to live and practice proper decorum in conducting one’s self in the presence of one’s brethren.

As a Commitment, the Brotherhood emphasizes to the Fraters the essence of Faith in dealing with the challenges that go along the way of Brotherhood so as not to compromise fraternal expectations and personal interests in pursuit of attaining the demands of responsibility.
