Omnibus 2nd year Foundation

The Omnibus Brotherhood 2nd Year Foundation
by: Omni0059MONDS

A strong clan is not measured by number of adherents it has, but by the length it has celebrated success and endured difficulties since the day it was instituted.
August 21, 2011 marked the anniversary of the Omnibus Brotherhood. A momentous event which signified the sophomore year of the prestigious fraternity comprised of the most honorable, ingenious and magnificent males residing in the Iloilo province.
The revelry started at the Atrium around six pm last Sunday, the rendezvous decided days before. Waiting was not a problem for enthusiasm filled the air. Each sported their most comfortable clothes for the awaited get-together. Everyone was excited to meet each other and share a delectable feast of seafood and grilled wonders.
Around 7 pm, the group was at its quorum, everyone agreed to leave. The all-men clique headed to the terminal where the jeepney to the dinner venue was located. When we had the chance to ride a very spacious jeepney, we almost filled the seats though some unknown passengers occupied a few spaces. From there, it was unconsciously decided to start the party. We all laughed, talked, teased and blew each other socks off with incidental jokes and comedic actions to sway off boredom.
Signage posted: ANNIE’S Seafood Restaurant. Destination reached, suddenly, everyone felt hungry. It was time to eat. Yet, there was a slight problem, the group did not have a reserved area to sit and the restaurant had a lot of customers. The solution?Patience. The clan waited some waiters a few minutes to fix and arrange a train of bamboo tables and seats to accommodate the starving pack of 20.
The dilemma was solved. But one still pulls the feet of the boys:  Hunger.  The waiting added the growling of the boy’s bellies. Subsequently settling to the fixed part for the group, a choir of complaints and an amalgamation of grunts, moans and shouting followed. Therefore, the food must be set immediately! The newly elected Grand Master Blake and some men went to order the food of the famished pack of 20.
While the feast was ordered, some played with their cellphones, talked and laughed, took pictures, and powdered their faces; you cannot eat with an oily face, can you? Also, some members arrived from only God knew where.  The party is about to be officially started!
Then the most anticipated came, the food. The carnivores looked at the plates being lowered down from the trays, steam of rice embracing the noses of the boys, bottles of 1.5 liter soft drinks bounced in the tables and trays upon trays of oysters glided down the bamboo furniture. It was dinner time!
Virtually everyone was secretly asking for the feast to start, to start the foreplay of the hot barbecue and lips moistened by the tongue. But it was impeded. The grand master exclaimed that we should first wait until the followed up orders to arrive. So we waited. Instead of the expected lull to happen, a noise barrage occurred. Complaints upon complaints of hungry mouths and growling stomachs expressed. Moans of the famished cried while the traitor silent food pickers took the advantage of sneaking a stick of barbecue up their mouths. Sounds disturbing and chaotic? It was. But it was hell of a fun. The complaints were responded by laughers and moaning was replied by smiles. Camaraderie forbade anger and offense to a float.
Finally, after the orders arrived, it was time to begin the delicious intercourse of the tongue and the oyster; the merriment of flavors unto the male’s mouths. A common ritual was done: the Prayer. One big, hungry guy volunteered to lead the prayer but there was already an assigned prayer leader. After the sign of the cross, like lions the men devoured the feast, plates clanked and flew across the tables, sizzles of sprite and royal soft drinks reverberated the air, oyster shells tolled the tables, barbecue sticks bundled instantly beside the plates and spoons and forks skated the plates of the ravenous guys waiting their stomachs to burst of satisfaction.
The dilemma temporarily gone, smiles stuck to the men’s faces. What do you get after feeding a pack of hungry men? Bedlam. The table that was once spick and span is now covered of left overs, oyster shells lay as if raped by a psycho. Barbecue sticks resembling pick-up sticks thrown by a toddler, rice posing beside the plates. A proof how the men really prepared for the dinner.
Despite the crime scene left by the unmerciful and hungry guys, a very fun and über high fashion pictorial took place. The now hyperactive and crazy guys posed for the camera. Leveling was the key for a successful cam whoring. Some had very decent pictures of them taken; some had pictures simulating America’s Next Top Model. Who knew guys could also be cut out for this kind of competition?
When the cam whoring was almost done, some asked what were they waiting for. The answer? The bill. They caught the attention of the waiter and signaled the universal sign language of the bill. The bill arrived and paid; faces powdered and evened out; perfumes diffused; camera hidden for later use, there was only one thing left to do. It was to leave the area and go to the next itinerary of the night.
Although some weirdly claimed that they walked from the restaurant in Villa going to the next stop in Mandurriao, the group occupied an empty jeepney. Destination: Smallville.
Inside the jeepney, the frequent party goers confirmed a free entrance to some clubs at Smallville. Teasing continued, jokes were spilled and headphones bashed some guys’ ears. Traveling was fun especially with these men.
Nearing the point of arrival, three men chorused the Hiligaynon phrase of going down of a jeepney, “Salugarlang!” Every member of the clan went down at Jollibee near U.P. Iloilo and suddenly the jeepney became hollow and empty.
The men walked there up to the next target: Go Mart. Go Mart is a novel place to hang out and get the booze start flowing. A convenient store equipped with its own tables and chairs for maximum bonding time and comfort all in one place.
Unforgettable moments occurred while walking from Jollibee until Go Mart: the hilarious scene of Manang Rhea, the exclamation of a fact that the girl looked like a rat, the hilarious fashion walk of Monds and the Cancun-esque walk of Jeboy, Gibo, Mitch, Monds and Marfs.
As the clan settled to a long train of table for 20, it was agreed to contribute money for the booze drinking to start. Gibo was the official mixer and his trusty sidekick was Marfs. They made hotel-quality mixed drinks of vodka, powdered juice and other things only they know what.
4 towers full of mixed drinks were drunk by the group. The common “tagay” was implemented; 2 glasses rotated the group as to satisfy every member of the celebrating fraternity. Former members of the group and some lovers of the men joined the fete.
Cam whoring resumed as well as the talking, teasing and joking became louder. The party really had kicked up a notch. Weirdly enough, right just after one tower of a mixed drink, the rest room was the most visited vicinity of the store. Mr. Booze’s effects were slowly taking an effect to the guys. Some looked for peanuts to munch on while waiting for their tagay. Others talked about the people who were absent.
The drinks were getting low, the celebration was getting down. It was the stretch for the highlight of the celebration: The Clubbing. All proceeded at the MO2 Ice Club located also within Smallville Complex. Since it was a Sunday night, everyone was free to go inside.
As we enter, a combination of smoke, lights, smell of beer, food and rad party music welcomed us to the acme of the fete. We situated at the right side of the room near the air conditioning unit as to avoid overheating.
Dancing commenced; hips started to shake, hands waved and fists punched the air as we exalted the Equilibrium Year of the Omnibus Brotherhood. Everyone had fun dancing and rejoicing to the beat of the songs that pulsated our chests.
Some got tired and looked for seats at the terrace located at the back side of the club, outside the party area. When the rest found out of the seats, they made it a baggage counter for a more enjoyable bashing.
While some danced and mingled with other party animals, a few remained in the seats and just talked. Others bought beer and enjoyed it with conversations of newly found friends. This is a proof that Omnibus Brotherhood has served its mission and vision of camaraderie and the uniting spirit of diverse dispositions.
Around 3 in the morning, the party had to end. Almost each member left and went home. A few preferred to stay and party more with other acquaintances. A big bunch of the group started walking outside the Smallville Complex going to Jollibee again where the will ride their respective routes to their residences while particulars crossed the road to travel their own ways.
The party was a big success. The celebration was unforgettable and the commemoration of the TWO years of Omnibus Brotherhood’s existence will be forever cherished in our hearts. More years to come Omnies! Long Live Omnibus!

The Omnibus Metamorphosis Year

The end of Metamorphosis year

The Omnibus Brotherhood is like metamorphosis, when a worm from a cocoon grows from ordinary to extraordinary, it turns out to be a young and gorgeous butterfly, full of enthusiasm and ready to face life again. Pretty sure it's about the right time.
It is inevitable indeed that organization like Omnibus Brotherhood have the will to go on despite of all the trials we encounter, we can always move our feet forward. Though there are times when we encounter heavy pile blocks of criticisms on our shoulder, but one thing is auspicious, it's a way to pent up more muscles to keep us stand upright. Errors serve as blessing purpose, we become more mature with a solid backbone. - Acceptance to what is happening around is the next step to become strong and united.
Time, acceptance, principles, rules and roles are all part of the organization. Omnibus is like chef and members are different spices and flavors of frustrations, conflicts, division, friendship and happiness mix all together that create a perfect cuisine. So when we are at our lowest point, always remember the tale of a desperate worm and how it transforms into a beautiful and gorgeous butterfly at the right time.
The Omnibus Metamorphosis complete!

The Omnibus Brotherhood-Iloilo night out party at Club Ice Bacolod

Mo2 Ice Bar is one of the  new and hottest night life destination at Bacolod. The entrance fee is about 100 pesos and it’s consumable. Me and my Omnibus bros arrived there at around past 1am and the place was fully packed. Looks like everyone was having a good time. Despite of  the place is a bit humid. I guess it must be from the body heat generated by the crowd. Nonetheless, why care about the downside when you’re having fun right?
